The Colony Teen Class Enrollment

Teens can take their complete driver education with us. If you live in Frisco, The colony or Little Elm Texas, or any of the surrounding communities, Drive Smart in The Colony is fully authorized by The State of Texas to provide a complete driver education course for teens 15-18 years old.

List of Items for the first day of class:

• • Drive Smart Driving School will need to make a copy of a Birth certificate, State I.D. or Passport. Or you could bring in a copy.

• • The student will need pen & paper in class for notes.

• • The student will need a Verification of Enrollment from the High when they get their certificate to go get a permit from the DPS. They get it from the school office or attendance counselor, if they will be out of school when they start their class then they will need to get it the last week of school so it is valid for all of the Summer months.

• • The classroom portion is 4 weeks, the in-car lessons (that start once they get a permit) takes anywhere from 3 to 4 months to do with us depending on students’ schedule and ours.
