Our In-Car Driving Lessons

Requirements

Please note that you must have a Learner’s License if you are under age 18, or a “B” Restricted Driver’s License if you are 18 or older before enrolling for lessons or scheduling driving lessons.

Pricing

Our in-car driving instruction is offered in packages, with each lesson lasting 55 minutes:

  • 1 Lesson: $70

  • 3 Lessons: $195

  • 7 Lessons: $450 – $520

You must come to the school for your driving lesson, we do not offer pickup or drop-off services.

Packages:

1 Hour Adult/Teen Lesson

This package consists of:

  • 55-minute private driving lesson with a Texas state-licensed Instructor
  • Lesson content tailored to individual student needs
  • Meet at the driving school

3 Adult/Teen Lessons

This package consists of:

  • 3 separate 55-minute private driving lessons or with a Texas state-licensed Instructor
  • Lesson content tailored to individual student needs
  • Meet at the driving school

7 Adult/Teen Lessons

This package consists of:

  • 7 Separate 55-minute private driving lessons or with a Texas state-licensed Instructor
  • Lesson content tailored to individual student needs
  • Meet at the driving school

Teen Parent Taught/Online Driving School Lesson Transfer

This package consists of:

  • 7 hours of driving
  • 7 hours of observation 
  • Meets the 14 hours behind the wheel State requirement
  • Meet at our driving school
  • Completion certificate provided for driver’s license upon completion 
  • The student will transfer to our school after completing the classroom portion with a third party
  • You MUST initiate the transfer. You will need to reach out to the in-class program you selected and let them know you wish to transfer to Drive Smart Driving School to complete the behind-the-wheel portion. We will not initiate the transfer for you. Once you have completed your driving requirement with the school, we will review your documents to confirm we have received the transfer paperwork. If we have not, we will not be able to release your DE-964.
