Teen Driver’s Ed Program

At Drive Smart Driving School, we are proud to offer a comprehensive Teen Driver’s Education Program approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Serving the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area with locations in Carrollton and The Colony, we also offer online options available to students throughout Texas. Our mission is to equip young drivers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to drive safely on Texas roads.

Our program is designed to be flexible and accessible, offering a range of learning options to suit your schedule and learning preferences. We focus on providing both classroom instruction and in-car training that prepares teens to become responsible, safe, and confident drivers.

Our Teen Driver’s Ed Options:

  • Traditional Classroom – This option includes Live In-person instruction that covers essential driving theory and road safety principles. Students also receive 7 driving lessons to practice real-world driving skills. For students enrolling in 2025, the road test is included, along with our DPS upload service for U.S. citizens.

  • Remote Classroom Classes – If you prefer the flexibility of online learning, our Remote Classes offers Live (Zoom & Google Classroom) instruction, where you can interact with your instructor and classmates in real-time. This program includes 7 in-car driving lessons at your convenience.

  • Online Classroom with In-Person Driving – For those who prefer self-paced learning, our Online Classroom offers a self-paced, online curriculum that can be completed on your own time from anywhere in Texas. This option is combined with 7 in-car lessons with one of our certified instructors to help reinforce your learning and ensure you are prepared for the road.

  • Parent-Taught Program – For families who prefer to complete the program from the comfort of home, the Parent-Taught Program allows a parent or legal guardian to serve as the instructor. You’ll complete the entire course online, and we’ll provide you with the necessary materials to ensure a thorough education. Note: This online classroom option is available to students across Texas, not just in the DFW area.
