Teen and Adult Road Test The Colony, Texas

Important Information:

If you’re not a U.S. Citizen or if your B-Restricted License is marked as “Limited Term,” current Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) guidelines don’t allow you to use it for the Upload Service.

But don’t worry—you can still use our regular sealed envelope service!

Costs:

  • Road Test with sealed envelope: $70
  • Road Test with DPS upload service: Road Test fee + an additional $40

What to Bring for Your Road Test:

  • For 16–17-year-olds: A valid Texas Learner’s Permit
  • For 16–17-year-olds: A parent or legal gaurdian
  • For 16–17-year-olds: DE-964 certificate
  • For 16–17-year-olds: Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) certificate and a properly filled out Texas 30-Hour log sheet.
  • For 18 and older: A valid Texas B-Restricted License
  • For 18–24-year-olds: ADE-1317 certificate or DE964 for completing a Texas Driver Education Course
  • For 18 and older: Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITYD) certificate (unless you completed a Teen program, if you have a DE964 you need a ITTD cetificate).
